Every 3rd Thursday of the month, Poets, Rappers, Writers, and anyone else with artistry in their craft gets together and unites for an event that is sure to rouse the brain cells and give you mental stimulation: The Do You Lyric Lounge! 

This event has been in Atlanta for years, and recently, has started in Augusta, GA. Downtown Broad Street is full of events and venues, but there is no event on Thursday nights quite like this one. Packed with great people, great food, and plentiful drinks, this event is going to be a force to be reckoned with in 2014.

 

1102 Bar & Grille is the place to be. Bring your artists, your music, your poetry, or just bring yourself to have a great time and enjoy the atmosphere. This event is about to light the city of Augusta on fire and showcase a brand new breed of talent over the city. Be a part of history, come out and support your local artists.

Gaffney, SC Turns Up At Chitlin Strut

Turn Up Then !!!!

          What a great time it was. The 48th Annual Chitlin Strut Festival went down November 30, 2013 in the town of Salley, South Carolina. Equipped with parades, tailgaters, block parties, horses, motorcycles, CHITLIN'S, and people from all over the south, the Chitlin Strut was turnt up this year. 

          Grand Heat Beats was present and captured a lot of good footage from the Chitlin Strut.  Many people from the hometown of Gaffney, SC had a party going and brought a crowd of over 100 people during the festival. The MC of the "Sugar Shack", named Lane, turned it out and made sure everybody had a good time.

George Zimmerman Meets Karma

LOCKED UP AT LAST, LOCKED UP AT LAST !!!!

      Well, if you don't know by now, Mr. Zimmerman was arrested today, after getting into a domestic violence situation with his new girlfriend. This idiot puts a double barrel shotgun to her face and starts smashing things around the house, like the wild animal he is. This man should have been locked up for the shooting of unarmed teenager, Trayvon Martin. But, because of the "unjust"-ice system (pun on words, read it fast, you'll get it), he is a free man, walking around, pointing guns in the faces of his girlfriends.

      According to Harvey Levin and his great site, TMZ.com, "The GF announced she was going to call the police, and according to the report, that's when Zimmerman leveled his shotgun at her and asked if she really wanted to do that. He then allegedly smashed a glass coffee table with the butt of the gun. The GF told police Zimmerman shoved her outside and barricaded the front door behind her."        As I stated in one of my freestyle rhymes, on the Jay-Z MCHG instrumental, "Trayvon's dead, and Georgie's free .. That's what happens when the KKK pay the lawyer fees". This is a classic case of a bad person, who at the time stood for a lot of politics (another blog another day) and other socially pressed values, had people behind him and riding for his worth. Now, he's really SCREWED up and his chances of making it out of this situation is critical.

       At one point, on the tape, you can hear her tell the 911 operator, "He knows how to play these games". Once the police arrive, he calls 911 and starts his little bullcrap story, trying to paint hisself as the victim. The operator even asks him, "If the police are there, why are you calling?". His response ... "Because I want people to know the truth".           :-/

Recently, T Screwdle has been making a name for himself by going and destroying the competition at different Beat Battles, throughtout the southern region.

        While making hits like this, T Screwdle is definitely a name to remember. History, is upon us !
